European Council (EuCo)

Topic: Reevaluating the Freedoms deriving from EU Citizenship

Cluster C, Advanced Committee, open to all years

Co-Chair: Aryaman Sharma

I’m Arya, a fourth year European Studies student at KCL, from East London.

I got indoctrinated into Model UN in my first year at university, having been to various conferences as a delegate and chair, but haven’t managed to escape just yet.

I love sports, especially handball and football, being a lifelong Dagenham & Redbridge fan. I also have a passion for languages and foreign cultures, knowing Spanish and currently learning Catalan, which links to my favourite part of MUN - meeting so many different people with cool and diverse perspectives to learn from!

Hey everyone! I'm Prina and I'm a third year BSc International Politics student at City St George's, University of London. I have been doing MUN for 9 years now, and it is the best thing ever! Outside of MUN, you will either catch me at an Arsenal game (COYG), at a pub, or doing some crazy side quests alongside my uni degree. I am thrilled to be your deputy chair for the European Council and I'll see you all in March!

Co-Chair: Prina Patel

Hi everyone! I'm Cattleya, a second year law student at the LSE. This will be my second time chairing an EU-related committee, and I'm super excited to be chairing with Sophie and Prina after a year of chairing hiatus! Outside of MUN, you can find me applying for j*bs (with little success) and zooming through London on a Forest bike (#1 Lime hater here). Can't wait to meet you all in March!

Co-Chair: Cattleya Lai

Assistant Chair: Jasmeen Kaur

Born in Portugal, to an Indian background, I am currently studying the IB at Saint Dominic’s International School, Portugal. I’ve been involved in MUN conferences as a delegate for over 7 years, and through the process, have discovered my passion for the legal field, which I intend to pursue during my university studies in London this year.

My experience in MUN has given me insight into the dynamics of committees from multiple perspectives. I see MUN as an important vehicle for reaching consensus, critically analyzing issues, building social skills, and more. As an Assistant Chair, I’m committed to maintaining an organized and engaging committee environment, supporting delegates throughout the conference, and encouraging meaningful participation.

Beyond MUN, I enjoy reading, travelling, and volunteering. I look forward to working closely with delegates to make the EU Council a committee experience that is not only intellectually stimulating and productive but also very memorable.
