Study Guide

I'm a first year International Relations student at SOAS, with a long-standing interest in disaster risk management (among other things) - it was always my favourite part of Geography in school. Although I am very new to MUN - having never taken part until university, I am finding it such a fascinating, thrilling experience, and I'm here to help ensure that this is a committee that delegates grow through, have fun with, and look back on with warm memories. Hopefully, your friends will be jealous that they didn't do UNDRR.

Hello everyone! My name is Kaito, and I'm a 1st year bachelor student at EDHEC Business School on the French Riviera. I enjoy football, violin, and a good laugh on a daily basis. Looking forward to seeing you guys!

I'm Defne! I will be serving as the assistant chair for UNDRR. I'm currently studying in Canterbury at the Worthgate School. I'm an international student and originally from Türkiye. I attended my first Model UN Conference when I was 11. I have served as a delegate, chairperson, and as SSB member in over 20 conferences, across 3 countries, since 2019. I'm also a Parliamentary and World Schools debater. Growing up I was always inspired by my chairs and judges. I now hope to do the same for the delegates in my committee.
