United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC)

Topic: Protecting the Rights of Stateless Persons

Cluster A, Beginner Committee, open to Years 9-11

Hi, I'm Joe, a first year Politics and Social Policy undergraduate at the LSE. I am originally from Bath where I first began to compete in MUN conferences and I have loved continuing to debate at university too. Without doubt, MUN has been one of the highlights of my time at LSE and in London so far! I have a keen interest in international development and international migration and education policy and MUN is the perfect place to experience a whole plethora of perspectives. When not enthralled in the UN assembly debates or the outbursts in the House of Commons and Congress, I enjoy listening to jazz and exploring new artists, playing badminton and eating white chocolate kitkats. I love the diplomatic and cooperative nature of MUN and I can't wait to be your chair alongisde Ayla in UNHRC!

Co-Chair: Joseph Walker

Hi! I’m Ayla, a 1st Year Politics and International Relations student at the LSE. Having been a delegate for TeamLSE this year, and a member of the Secretariat for LSEMUN, I’m excited to be joining London YouthMUN 2026 as Co-Chair for UNHRC. I love the productive debate MUN offers, and have a particular interest in sustainable development and the protection of refugees. In my free time, I enjoy reading, dance and drinking lots of coffee.

Co-Chair: Ayla Mackrory-Jamieson

Assistant Chair: Emila Zwiech

Hi everyone! I’m Emilia and I will be the Assistant Chair in UNHRC:) I am a year 13 student from Poland studying Maths, Economics and Geography at Chigwell School. I’ve been attending MUNs for three years now and have had the pleasure to co-organise two conferences as well. Outside of MUNs, I enjoy listening to music, playing the piano and exploring London with friends. Can't wait to see you all soon!
